Authorities in Doral have arrested three men accused of orchestrating a large-scale mail theft operation involving over 200 pounds of stolen letters and packages. The suspects reportedly used stolen USPS master keys—also known as arrow keys—to unlock neighborhood mailboxes and gain access to hundreds of residents’ personal documents.
The suspects, identified as Katron Steadman (23), Ivey Marquis Allen (33), and Guston Malheur (19), were caught on surveillance footage allegedly stealing mail from a cluster mailbox in a Doral community. Investigators say the group targeted the mail for personal information and financial gain. At least one stolen credit card was reportedly used to purchase electronics, helping law enforcement track them down.
The investigation remains ongoing, as a fourth suspect, 44-year-old Antwan McClain, is still at large. He is believed to have played a key role in the operation. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and local authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
Residents in the affected neighborhood are being advised to monitor their mail for any suspicious activity, report missing packages or letters, and consider placing a hold on their mail if they suspect they’ve been targeted.
This case highlights the growing problem of arrow key thefts, which can give criminals broad access to centralized mailboxes used in apartment complexes and newer residential developments.
