A glamorous yacht party near Miami Beach turned into chaos after a $4.5 million Lamborghini yacht, hosting dozens of social media influencers and Instagram models, began to sink late Saturday afternoon.
The 63-foot Tecnomar Lamborghini 63, a limited-edition vessel known for its flashy design and high-end appeal, was carrying at least 32 people — far exceeding its recommended capacity of 7 people. The crowd was reportedly made up largely of social media personalities and models visiting Miami during Formula One weekend festivities.
The vessel started taking on water near Monument Island in Biscayne Bay around 5 p.m. Rescue footage shows panicked guests — many dressed for a day of sun and photos — hurriedly donning life vests as the U.S. Coast Guard arrived. Some guests could be seen posing for pictures even as the yacht tilted precariously and began slipping beneath the surface.
Officials confirmed that all passengers and crew were safely removed without injury before the yacht fully submerged. One witness described the dramatic sight of the vessel flipping upright into the water, saying it "looked vertical" before it eventually sank.
Authorities have not officially stated what caused the incident, but reports indicate the vessel's overcrowded state likely contributed to its sudden sinking. The U.S. Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife officials are investigating.
Despite the near-disaster, no injuries were reported — though the event has sparked conversations about safety risks at influencer-driven luxury parties on the water.
