Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. — Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is once again in the spotlight for off-field conduct, this time following a domestic dispute at his high-rise condo on Collins Avenue. Police responded to a 911 call just before 2 p.m. Monday reporting an "assault in progress."
According to an incident report, officers arrived to find Hill, his wife Keeta Hill, and her mother at the residence. The dispute reportedly escalated during a conversation about couples therapy. Keeta Hill told police the argument began when she confronted Hill about not being involved enough with their child. Hill allegedly threw a laptop and then picked up their baby, walking toward the balcony.
The child’s grandmother, who has been living with the couple since late 2023, described Hill as “very aggressive and impulsive” and told officers she feared for her daughter’s safety. Police noted that while the couple insisted the situation didn’t turn physical, a bruise was observed on Keeta Hill’s upper chest. She claimed it may have occurred accidentally when Hill took the child from her arms. Officers confirmed the child appeared unharmed.
Hill reportedly admitted to grabbing the baby, telling police, “I have the same rights as a father as her as a mother, and I can take my baby whenever I want.” He left the condo around 2:40 p.m. in the presence of police, and no arrests were made. Keeta Hill declined to provide a written statement.
She also informed officers she was in the process of filing for divorce. Despite attempts at couples therapy, she told authorities the sessions had not been successful.
The incident marks another addition to Hill’s growing list of legal troubles. In February 2024, influencer Sophie Hall filed a civil lawsuit accusing Hill of breaking her leg during a football drill at his Southwest Ranches home. He was also cited during a separate altercation with Miami-Dade police last September, though those charges were later dismissed when officers failed to appear in court.
As of now, there has been no official comment from the Dolphins organization or the NFL.
