Miami Arts & Culture Guide: Top Events to Catch in July 2025

July in Miami means sunshine, sweat... and some of the city's best art and cultural programming. While the temps rise, so does the creative energy across the 305. This month, from cutting-edge gallery shows to outdoor concerts and family-friendly performances, is packed with events you won't miss.

Whether you're a local looking to rediscover your city or a visitor hoping to go beyond the beach, here's your complete guide to Miami's arts and culture scene this July.

Gallery & Museum Highlights

"Neither Here Nor There" at MIFA (Doral)

This powerful group exhibition explores themes of migration, identity, and cultural fluidity through the works of artists like Verónica Pasman, Nicole Salcedo, Juan Henríquez, and more. Expect a mix of sculpture, painting, and multimedia installations that speak to the in-between spaces many call home. On view through July 25.

Martina Tuaty at Dale Zine (Design District)

Local photographer Martina Tuaty captures Miami's stillness with soft-focus images of everyday objects and empty street corners. The show is quiet and introspective, perfect for anyone looking to slow down. It is open through July 31.

"Seeing Red" at Fredric Snitzer Gallery (Downtown)

This thematic show explores the symbolism of the color red—passion, power, danger—through a vibrant collection of works by Hernan Bas, Marielle Plaisir, and others. It closes July 19.

Manuel Mendive at Latin Art Core (Little Havana)

Cuban legend Manuel Mendive returns with his signature blend of Afro-Cuban spiritualism and vivid color. This solo show explores nature, ancestors, and ritual through canvas, sculpture, and found objects. On view until August 31.

Alex Nuñez: "There's a Gator in the Pool" at Faena Art (Miami Beach)

Expect color, chaos, and cheeky nods to Florida's swampy energy in this immersive installation. Nuñez mixes tropical surrealism with personal storytelling in a wild and weirdly nostalgic show, open daily.

"Florida Room IV" at KDR (Allapattah)

The fourth edition of this group show, a celebration of found-object sculpture, blends rebar furniture, neon installations, and industrial remnants in creative new forms. It runs through August 30.

"The Miami Years" by Rachel Feinstein at The Bass (Miami Beach)

Rachel Feinstein reflects on her relationship with Miami through fantasy-inspired sculpture and architectural fragments. Think: baroque meets South Beach. On view through August 17.

PAMM (Downtown)

The Perez Art Museum Miami continues to dazzle with two summer shows:

  • "Gyula Kosice: Intergalactic" explores the sci-fi aesthetic of the Argentinian artist's hydrospatial architecture.
  • "Narratives in Focus" highlights Latin American photography that tells personal and political stories.

One-Night-Only & Live Events

Wynwood Art Walk: July 13, 5–10 p.m.

The Second Saturday event brings open studios, street art demos, food trucks, and DJs to Wynwood. This month, expect several new murals and local artists showcasing live work in real time. Family and pet friendly.

Adrienne Arsht Center Family Fest: July 12, 1:30 p.m.

The Passing Zone brings juggling, comedy, and high-energy stunts to the stage. Great for kids and fun-loving adults alike. Free with RSVP.

Steel Pulse at Miami Beach Bandshell: July 10, 8 p.m.

The legendary British reggae band returns to Miami with a catalog of socially conscious hits. The outdoor venue, ocean breeze, and good vibes are guaranteed.

"50 Years of Go-Go" at the Bandshell: July 26, 4 p.m.

Celebrate the genre that put D.C. funk on the map with Junkyard Band and other Go-Go legends. Dance shoes are highly recommended.

Miami Short Film Festival: July 13, 7 p.m.

Hosted at the historic Deering Estate, this one-night-only screening features short films across South America. A pre-show cocktail hour lets you mingle as the sun sets over Biscayne Bay.

AileyCamp Final Performance: July 26, 7 p.m.

After six weeks of intensive training, over 100 middle schoolers perform original choreography rooted in modern, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean traditions. A moving, high-energy finale to this youth arts initiative. Free with RSVP at the Arsht Center.

How to Do July Right in the 305

Plan, Stay Cool

  • Beat the heat with early visits to galleries and museums (most open at 11 a.m.)
  • Use ParkMobile for $1 parking in Miami Beach all summer (up to three hours per day)
  • Dress light but bring layers—indoor AC in galleries is no joke

Make a Day of It

  • Pair art with food: Grab Cuban bites near Latin Art Core or hit an ice cream spot after Faena
  • Mix neighborhoods: Allapattah for edgy installations, Design District for polished photography, Wynwood for murals and music.
